This page explains what personal data this website collects, why, who it goes to and what you can ask me to do with it. It's written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who I am
This site is run by Harry Boxhall, trading through Boxhall Marketing Ltd, a company registered in England with company number 12497129. The registered office is Office F12, Beverley Enterprise Centre, Beck View Road, Beverley, HU17 0JT.
Boxhall Marketing Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have any questions, email [email protected].
What I collect
| When | What |
|---|---|
| You fill in a contact form | Your name, email address, website address, the service you're interested in (if you pick one) and your message. |
| You email or phone me | Whatever you choose to send, plus your email address or phone number. |
| You visit any page | Your IP address and basic technical details such as your browser type. These are handled by my hosting provider so the site can be delivered and protected from abuse. |
This site doesn't set any cookies and doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts are served from this site's own server, so loading a page doesn't send your details to a font provider. Please don't send sensitive information such as health details through the forms.
Why I use it, and the legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and, if we go ahead, to put a proposal or contract together. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep a record of enquiries so I can follow up on a conversation we've already had. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running my business.
- To keep the website working and secure. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
I won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you've asked me to.
Who it's shared with
I don't sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing. A small number of service providers handle it on my behalf:
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Formspree, Inc. | Receives contact form submissions and forwards them to my inbox. | United States |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website and protects it from attacks. | Global network, including the UK |
| My email provider | Stores the emails and form submissions I receive. | See the provider's own policy |
Because some of these providers are based in or use servers in the United States, your data may be transferred outside the UK. Each provider's privacy policy, linked above, explains how it protects data that leaves the UK. I may also share information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
- If you become a client, I keep business records for six years after our work ends, because UK tax and company law requires it.
- Form submissions are also held in my Formspree account and deleted on the same schedule.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
- give you a copy of the personal data I hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
- delete your data
- restrict how I use it, or object to me using it
- send it to you, or another organisation, in a common format
Email [email protected] and I'll respond within one month. There's no charge in most cases.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please tell me first and I'll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If anything here changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
